Windows 11 25H2 and updates error

I just started playing around with this tool as I'm interested in a de-bloated Windows install.

I downloaded the latest Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft (as of 10/24/2025).

I watched Chris's YouTube video and used the same settings he did, and I certainly didn't go crazy with them as suggested in the video.

I created a new VM in VMWare Workstation Pro (latest version), and the install went great. Booted up and saw this nice and clean install of Windows.

I then tried Windows Update, and it installed various updates, as expected, except for one.

2025-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 keeps failing.

I rebooted the VM a few times to try again, but it failed again.

Watching closely, I can see it download the update and then install up to 100%. After the installation was completed, I then saw the error message.

Perhaps I made a mistake in my choices?

I have the same issue, I tried a lot of different approach and cannot install this update. Is it normal that we are on 25H2 Insider Preview Build 26200.7171
