Handling multiple diagrams as Visual Studio documents

Treating the diagrams as Visual Studio documents would have to following benefits:

• Multiple diagrams could be open at the same time.
• Diagrams could be created, opened and saved using Visual Studio's File menu commands (New, Open, Save, SaveAs).
• Saved diagrams could show up in Solution Explorer and could be reopened by just clicking them.
• When exiting Visual Studio, the "Save changes to the following items?" dialog could contain diagrams too. (At the moment the diagram tool have a separate dialog for this purpose.)
• Diagram items could be copied/moved between diagrams.

Questions:

• How should the "Add to Codartis Diagram" context menu command work when multiple diagrams are open? Probably addint the item to the most recently used diagram?

Good news - starting with v2.0.0, diagram saving and loading are now fully integrated with Visual Studio’s file handling.
Diagram files (*.codartis) behave just like any other project file:

• You can open multiple diagrams simultaneously.
  • When adding symbols from source code, they’re added to the most recently used diagram.
  • If no diagram is open, one is created automatically in a Solution Folder named “Diagrams.”
• You can use familiar file management commands from Solution Explorer, the File menu, and the main toolbar.
• No more popups from the Codartis Diagram Tool asking to save on exit — unsaved diagram changes now appear alongside other unsaved files in Visual Studio’s exit dialog.
