Work like butter!
I tested louvre View and started created my own instance of it and it smoother than any thing i have ever seen in my entire life!

Arch linux
Asus FX506-HC
Intel 11400H
RTX 3050 Mobile 4GB
8GB RAM

Experience :
smoother than wihdows!
smoother than gnome!

How can i bench mark ?

Hey, thanks for the feedback! If you’re using proprietary Nvidia drivers, you might experience occasional flickering since I haven’t implemented explicit sync yet.

Please note that the benchmark only works for Intel GPUs. Here are the instructions:

P.S. For CPU usage, building SRM/Louvre with -Dbuildtype=release enables compiler optimizations, which makes a huge difference.

Sorry for being late!i tried to take a benchmark but i could'nt manage to get it into work. i geuss mostly because of there was'nt required software installed.

Hi! Don't worry, it's quite messy. If you managed to build LBenchmark, you can at least check the FPS by running it inside the compositor you want to test:

./LBenchmark <number of surfaces (int)> <duration in milliseconds (int)> <name for the .txt file e.g."Louvre"> <seed for the randomness (int)>

It should save the results in a .txt file.

I built that but program have segmentation fault i did'nt look at the source code but we all khow what hapening right now LOL
