@gcharang: currently we use coins_config_unfiltered.json which afaik is a combination of all the variants. We filter out non-WSS electrums/nodes on web and filter out WSS electrums/nodes on non-web.
Would further changes to filtering (if at all) solve the root cause of your issue?

wouldn't using coins_config_tcp.json also do what you want? it contains SSL where available and TCP if SSL is not available
or do you want more? like setting coins with only TCP to "wallet-only"...

yes, if we implement all the requests in #2846 , we can use coins_config_tcp.json . but till then, we should be using electrums from just coins_config_ssl.json
