Description
Problem
An old package in DejaCode could have disappointing or incorrect scan results; new releases of scancode-toolkit can potentially provide better results. The current process to initiate a package re-scan is a bit cumbersome; here are two choices:
- From the Product inventory tab: Use the "Delete Scan" button then restart the "Scan" from there.
- From the Scan list: Use the "Delete Scan" button, then go the the Package details view and start the Scan from the Scan tab.
Benefits
Get better scan results for an old package using a friendlier, more intuitive process.
Suggested solution
We could improve this with:
- Add the "Delete Scan" button in the Package "Scan" tab, next to "Download Scan Data"
- Add a "Re-Scan" button in those 3 locations: [Scan tab], [Inventory Tab], [Scan list] to simplify the "Delete+Scan" current process.
