Open proposal: decentralized V2V overtaking assistance protocol (seeking technical review)

Hello,

I would like to share an open protocol proposal for cooperative overtaking assistance using decentralized Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication.

The goal is to allow vehicles to determine overtaking feasibility beyond line-of-sight using lightweight broadcast messages.

Key characteristics

• Fully decentralized
• No infrastructure required
• Very low bandwidth (~5 kbit/s per vehicle)
• Privacy-preserving temporary identifiers
• No coordination or permission exchange required
