Update containers in other DockerSwarm stacks

As far as I can tell, Shepherd is only trying to update containers that share the same Docker stack with it.
Can I have the same instance update containers in other stacks too? Or, if I take it to the extreme, other docker swarms?

That's not true. Shepherd updates services by name, which means you can update any service in your swarm.

Updating services in other swarms could be possible via somehow forwarding the unix or tcp socket from a node in the other swarm, but that is going to be a big mess.
