Cannot reduce resolution depth

Regardless of what parameters I try, I cannot reduce the resolution depth. All changes result in the exact same file size.

I'm trying to solve the A links to B, B links to A recursion problem as noted here: contentful/contentful_model#111

It's not obvious if these properties work together, or cancel each other out.

Hey @clubajax,

This is using a very outdated version of the contentful gem. Current version is 2.11.1, the version you sent me is 0.12.0, that parameter was included in version 2.0.0, which was release in March 2017.

Thanks @dlitvakb, I will update and come back here if it still doesn't work. But that sounds like it could be the cause.

@dlitvakb, I'm having trouble upgrading. To narrow down the problem, I've been doing so one minor version at a time. 1.4.0 works fine as did the version we were on, 1.3.0. (as per my comment above though, 1.4.0 does not come with the features I need).

When I upgrade to 1.5.0, the import hangs, barely before it starts. It gets to the Jekyll::Commands::Contentful.process([], {}, config) command in the Rakefile, then stops. I suspect something recursive, because it is very difficult to stop.

After stopping, it does dump a trace... I pasted it into this gist:

Update: after tweaking my _config.yml, I got it to run, but now I get hundreds of errors like these:

Hey @clubajax,

Regarding your previous message, that's happening because you're not properly setting the max_include_resolution_depth properly, and therefore it's trying to resolve a very deeply nested tree of circular references.

Regarding this last message, this is definitely unrelated to Contentful or the Jekyll integration, this seems to be something related to how you have your layouts set up. Since the integration doesn't do anything related to manipulating the page front-matter.
