Logitech gamepad not working.

Hi, I installed the C-DOGS SDL version Flatpack on openSUSE Tumbleweed machine via KDE DIscover Software Center. This is an excellent game but I am having an issue getting the Logitech game controller I have to work with the game.

lsusb shows:
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 046d:c216 Logitech, Imc. F310 Gamepad [DirectInput Mode]

Would is be possible for me to get the gamepad working somehow with your help? I think this would really enhance the playing experience.

Does the gamepad work with other games? Are you asking how to use any gamepad at all with this game, or there is something wrong with this gamepad and that other gamepads work with the game?

The gamepad is detected by KDE System Settings > Game Controller. The gamepad works with other games like Doom. So how can I use this gamepad with this game? I don't see any gamepad options in the menu. What I do see is when starting a new game and selecting the number of players a message, (use joystick 1 or arrow keys + Enter or backspace). I do not have anymore gamepads than this here.

you can use your gamepad to operate the menus, and continue using it in game.

Sorry, the gamepad here does not operate in the in game menus nor the game itself.

When you reach the Press Fire to choose input device and join... screen, press button 1 on your gamepad. If this doesn't work try getting an SDL2 joystick test program and see if it successfully detects your gamepad. If it doesn't then it is something wrong with SDL2 on your machine.

The game also performs some logging to console. Look for the line <n> controllers found near the beginning. If is 0 then the game cannot detect your gamepad and it may be a problem with SDL2 on your machine

This is very good info. I passed in Konsole: sudo journalctl -b | grep 'controllers' and received six lines almost identical as follows: localhost.localdomain flatpak[8898[: 202502184232 INFO [INPUT] [joystick.c:60] JoyInit(): 0 controllers found. You have helped a great deal with this so far. I will look for SDL2 joystick testing program and possibly create an openSUSE forums thread concerning this.
