Is it possible to recover previous settings?

Hi, I have been using the Tab Modifier to group my tabs on my Windows work PC. Recently had an OS upgrade that seems to have uninstalled all my programs, and when I re-install my browser I have lost all of my Tab Modifier settings. I still have all of my old files though, so I was wondering is it possible to find whatever file these settings were stored in previously and use that to get my old settings back? I didn't export as I hadn't expected to lose these but I was hoping there might be some other way to recover them.

(Sorry if this is not quite the correct protocol; its my first posting.) I'm posting here because I didn't see a button for "new post", and my question is closely related to this one. It's about importing settings from TabModifier. I have a tab-modifier.config.json file that I've tried importing into Tabee, but it does not seem to be working. Do I need to start from scratch? (The tab-modifier.config.json file worked fine several times when I imported it into the previous TabModifier extension.)
