I don't understand what “I real ‘-markdown_attribute’” means, but you
can assign attributes to figures. As for paragraphs, they cannot have
attributes directly, you can put then in divs that will carry the
attributes for them like this:
::: {.class attribute="value"}
This is a paragraph.

I hope this is a misunderstanding, but I have no interest in answering a question by somebody whose display name is "Dr Mengele", one of the worst people to have walked this earth. |

I edited the typo in the message. What I meant is I can read "-markdown_attribute" in the output of "pandoc --list-extensions", so I thought that meant I needed a different build. |

don't fenced divs create a div rather than add classes to a paragraph ? |

hi, I am new to pandoc, and used to hugo and lots of things from it. What I can't do without, is markdown attributes to give classes to images or paragraphs. I read "-markdown_attribute" in "pandoc --list-extensions". So it takes in charge a gazillon obscure extensions I can't fathom the use of, but not that ? Am I out of luck and I have to compile a different pandoc version ?
This is mine:
pandoc 3.6 Features: +server +lua Scripting engine: Lua 5.4 User data directory: /home/drm/.local/share/pandoc Copyright (C) 2006-2024 John MacFarlane. Thanks for your help.
