Configuration of subagents not working properly in cli

I created some subagents on a project level but they don't get detected by default, how can I use them? I followed this https://docs.langchain.com/oss/python/deepagents/cli/overview#custom-subagents, basically I have some agents in Claude Code structure and then I change the folder structure to the one express on the docs but is not working any tips?

Hey AntonioContrerasO-Avahi, thanks for reporting this. A few things would help us narrow down the issue:

1. Directory structure — can you share the relevant portion of your project tree (where your subagent configs live relative to the project root)?
2. Config file contents — paste the subagent definition(s) you're using (redact any secrets).
3. CLI version — output of deepagents --version.
4. Error output — any error messages or logs when you run the CLI? If there's no error and it silently ignores the subagents, note that too.
5. How you're invoking — the exact command you're running to trigger the subagents.

With those details we should be able to pinpoint what's going wrong.

Hi, I noticed that using the .deepagents in the project folder with the agents inside as the documentation states doesn't help the cli to detect them but if you put them in the user folder they work as expected, and the version is the more recent but I did some modifications to the code since also the mcp connection was failing I open a ticket on it but it got closed #2228

Put me in coach, also I tested this on windows and I got some errors while trying to initialize the cli, it was some path issues, I wanted to asked if it would be better to open another issue and pr for that or if I push them in the same branch of the ticket ^
