How to specify some literal HTML?

Hi,

I would like to create an extension that recognizes:

Ordinary paragraph text

${<span>literal html</span>}$

Another paragraph

and parses it into:

<p>Ordinary paragraph text</p>

<span>literal html</span>

<p>Another paragraph</p>

My first attempt is to define the block-level extension:

  name: 'verbatim',
  level: 'block',

    const rule = /^\{\$(.+?)\$\}/;
    const match = rule.exec(src);

However, this instead outputs:

<p>Ordinary paragraph text</p>

it looks like your extension looks for {$ but you want it to look for ${
