Bar Chart - Horizontal Bars

Is there any interest in adding a Bar Chart which displays horizontally?

FWIW, I tried rotating the chart view pre-render, but as the view lives in a short, wide element it appears to render, then rotate - and the initial render (which becomes width) is the container height, which cuts off the width of the rotated bar chart to the height of the container.

Suggestions on either a workaround or, (better yet) a possible new chart type?
