how can I pass multiple parameters to my custom function in tools

I want to pass multiple parameters to tools(to my custom function get_cluster_change_history), so I pass a dict which include multiple keys,
I define a object parameter in tools,pass a dict to the get_cluster_change_history,but it report error:
ValueError: Unsupported tool type: <class 'dict'>

how can I pass multiple parameters to my custom function, or pass a dict param to my custom function?

Please read the documentation for how to use tools with AssistantAgent: https://microsoft.github.io/autogen/stable/user-guide/agentchat-user-guide/tutorial/agents.html#assistant-agent. The tool schema is automatically generated by AutoGen -- you don't need to supply it.

It is not recommended to use dictionaries as tool parameters, because there is no way for us to automatically generate the tool schema from a dictionary.

But lets say, if I am providing the external LLM provider from client code, and this LLM provider is also required by the tool then how can I pass the LLM provider to tool?
