OpenVINO has not yet been officially confirmed as a 2026 GSoC organization. We are still finalizing project ideas and do not yet know whether we have been accepted. Please wait for the official announcement before making any plans.

Dear contributors,

A few important things:

1. You should prove you know how to code. Please ask your mentor for the prerequisite task. If you're supposed to implement some feature/bug fix, please know it doesn't have to be merged to consider you for GSoC. Opening a high-quality PR is enough to be considered.
2. None of you has been officially assigned to any project and therefore if you implement one of the offered projects already it means you did that in your free time, not at GSoC. Try to avoid that, Google doesn't pay ani stipend for implementing things outside the program. Also finishing the project now doesn't mean you're automatically selected. It's a program for summer, not a month.
3. Please work on a high-quality submission now, but remember if it's mostly AI-generated one you will be disqualified.

The applying period is over. You will know if you're selected on April 30th from Google. In the meantime, please be patient—the mentors are currently reviewing the applications, so please do not send them any messages.
