How to install php-intl for just PHP 8.4 and not get PHP 8.5 installed as well

Description of issue

With the latest PHP 8.5 release the default php formular was updated to use this as a default, which is fine.

But with PHP 8.4 a change to the php-intl extension was made to not be packaged into the default formula as well but extracted into its own formula.

Thats fine as well, but now if I do e.g. brew install [email protected] php-intl i get both PHP 8.4 and 8.5 installed, which I don't want/need.

Is it possible to pass down an argument or something to that formular so it either depends on php like right now or the older [email protected]?

No, php is declared as a dependency for php-intl, which means it will always be pulled down and installed.

What we should probably do here is create a [email protected] like we do for the python-tk.

I'm fine with that. There is an open PR requesting php-intl be merged back in, so probably want to sort that out first.

it turned out, that only PHP 8.5 needed the separate php-intl package.

PHP 8.4 already comes with intl again.
