Impossible to get Github education benefits

Hi everyone,

I have tried in several ways to apply for the student pack by sending different photos to prove that I am a student at my school but I always get rejected.

The data matches my billing information from Github but there is still no way to get my application approved.

Is there any other way to add files than by camera?

I had to try it myself a few times before I was finally approved.
What worked for me was:

1. Adding my students email (the edu email) as my primary and change my main email address to the secondary slot

2. I had to upload a student id card where my face was visible, the schools name and school year.
   also github edu prompted me to make a selfie / upload a photo of me to compare to if it was really me.

3. If you get rejected and upload the selfie from yourself again, it might not work as its hash gets somehow blocked?? as to not reuse selfies

Hi @Paredeslion,

Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated.

If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC.

If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select "Other" and explain your problem.

i got rejected 12 times before getting accepted,
you can see the reason why they rejected in your mail.
i used student id,billing info

If your school doesn’t issue traditional IDs, an enrollment letter, class schedule, transcript, or even a screenshot of your school portal with your details visible usually works. If you’ve already tried all of these, the best option is to contact GitHub Education support and request a manual review—they can usually approve it once the correct document is provided.

It doesn't let you upload files, nor can you request manual review on support ticket as they block ticket creation for education applications.

I don't have a physical ID because my course is online except the exams. I can't upload files that's my biggest problem, because all my information is on a website but in a single photo I can't take all the necessary information. I have the information but in separated files/websites.

Can you ask the administration for a proof of attendance? I can always go to the administration to request that they hand me a paper proving that I am in fact attending school / college, that information should be sufficient
