Many developers, including myself, utilize mobile phones for coding and project execution due to lack of access to a personal computer (PC) or laptop. When working within a terminal environment on mobile (e.g., in a mobile IDE, SSH client, or any integrated terminal accessed through a mobile browser for a web-based environment), the primary function of the "Enter" or "Send" key on the mobile virtual keyboard is often missing or deactivated within the terminal window context.

• Impact: When a command is typed (e.g., git push, npm install, or python script.py), the user is unable to submit or execute the command because the dedicated hardware/software key to finalize the input (the equivalent of pressing Enter on a physical keyboard) does not appear on the mobile keyboard interface, or it functions as a "new line" character instead of a command submission key.
• Result: All projects requiring terminal interaction (which is virtually all development work) are halted at the command execution stage. This results in extreme frustration and prevents the deployment or testing of projects.

The Urgent Request

I urgently request that the GitHub development team address this in one of the following ways:

1. Dedicated Mobile-Optimized Terminal Interface: Develop and implement a special mobile-friendly version of any terminal interface used within GitHub's mobile browser experience or mobile app. This interface must include an on-screen, dedicated "Submit/Enter" button within the terminal window itself, independent of the mobile keyboard.
2. Keyboard Mapping Adjustment: Investigate the underlying framework used for rendering the terminal on mobile browsers and adjust the input focus to ensure the mobile device's virtual keyboard correctly displays and maps a Command Submission Key (Enter/Send) instead of a simple "New Line" key within the terminal context.

Why This Is Crucial

This is not a minor inconvenience; it is a project-stopping barrier for developers in financially constrained situations who depend solely on their mobile devices for their work. Addressing this will significantly:
