upload issue (camera too) #180521
-
Hi everyone,Hi everyone! I'm trying to redo my student application on GitHub, but it isn't accepting file uploads, and when I try to take the photo, GitHub simply destroys the image quality. In the preview on my phone screen everything is perfectly readable and the photo has great quality (I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max — my camera isn't the best in the world, but it's not that bad). However, once GitHub finishes processing it, the quality is completely gone and the request gets rejected. I've been trying to solve this problem for a long time — has anyone who has gone through this before been able to help me? |

Hi @Nevesto, Unfortunately, the upload option isn't always available and manual reviews aren't provided so you have to submit a live photo using your device's camera. If the photo is blurry, try again until it looks good as also indicated in the Student Developer Pack Application FAQs:
Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated. You can also try submitting the application from your phone or a different device. If you need more assistance, contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |
