Yeah, I’m seeing the same thing today. Normally a premium Claude request only uses like 0.1%–0.3% of my quota, but suddenly it’s jumping to 5–10% per request. It doesn’t matter if the prompt is small either even simple fixes are getting counted as huge usage. A bunch of people on Reddit are reporting the exact same spike, so it definitely doesn’t look like it’s just you. Seems like something changed on GitHub’s end or there’s a metering bug causing the system to miscount tokens. This has happened before when they roll out updates - they usually fix it pretty quickly or restore the quota once the bug is resolved. So I’m pretty sure our actual quota didn’t change; the usage tracking is just acting weird today. |

I have a similar issue - i thought it was a bit excessive as this month started, thats a little excessive and i know its the same amount of usage - something is different, or wrong. |

I usually use GitHub Copilot's premium models on a regular basis, and they use approximately 0.1% or 0.2% of my premium request quota for those tasks. This morning, I used the premium model (Claude Sonnet 4.5), and I was surprised to see 10% of the quota used for a simple fix. I was like WT$. I often use 10% for a week. And today, 10% gone in under an hour. I highly doubt they have made any changes or reduced my quota. Did anyone notice the same?
