Friday May 9 11am PT/2pm ET. Ryan Vandermeulen will show us how to use PACE hyperspectral data to look at light penetration depths in the ocean and other light attributes. Chris Haak (NEFSC) has used this recently in fish species distribution modeling with a lot of success. It's a new variable coming out of the NASA PACE program (Phytoplankton, Aerosol, Cloud and ocean Ecosystem). There are lots of other types of PACE data, but today Ryan will just talk about light attenuation (Kd). You can join him at the EDMW Workshop on May 22 for more tutorials on PACE data.
