Links in YAML frontmatter

As a result of Obsidian's properties, I like to keep information in the YAML front matter. For my notes on external sources, I keep links to people, like so:

creators:
  - "[[Taylor Hadden]]"
---

Note content

On Obsidian, I can easily find works written by people by going to a person's note, like Taylor Hadden here, and look at the incoming links.

Request: Treat links in frontmatter as they are in the body of notes.

This is interesting! Definitely not the first time this idea has been brought up. Would you expect any string within the YAML to be able to contain wiki links?

I have not had a use case where I had wiki links and other text in a YAML string. I think I would expect those to work if wiki links without other text worked.

Also, I would like to say in aside how much I love Tangent! Many design choices that I think work very well.

I think there can be a way forward here. It will involve some parsing funkiness—or writing a custom YAML parser—but it's plausible.
