recover from corrupt kernel in LATEST partition

If u-boot detects the kernel in LATEST is corrupt, it boots from GOLDEN. If
the corruption was due to an interrupted upgrade (power loss), the kernel in
GOLDEN will find the update tarball still present and repeat the upgrade.
