Datadog iOS SDK v3: Crash reports without RUM

Hi!
In SDK v2, crashes could be sent to logs directly. In v3, this requires RUM. How can I configure RUM to only send crash reports without any other tracking (views, application start, etc.)?

Using RUM without limits (as suggested in the migration guides), would increase cost dramatically on our side.

You cannot. We are consolidating the use cases on RUM instead of having incomplete and competing implementations across our RUM and Logs modules, and crash tracking is now fully and solely handled by RUM. Our goal here is to focus our investments in one single experience, instead of duplicating the work to cover multiple event types.

We understand it might not be the answer you were hoping for, but we don't plan revisiting this decision in the short-to-mid term.

Would you mind reaching out to your account team for this please? We have volume-based discounts and the RUM without Limits model is meant to provide an affordable way to ingest every single session, and only retain the very few ones that had crashes (which is usually sub-1% of the traffic).
