Long names are truncated/clipped on call screen

Show full name in full screen call notification

Why do you want this feature?

I just get the first name and middle name right now which makes it diffficult to assess who is calling.

Contact during calling should be shown in the same format as in the contacts tab, so I have a few questions:

1. Is this contact displayed correctly in the contacts tab?
2. Are you sure you have filled out the fields "First name", "Middle name" and "Surname"?
3. How many characters first name, middle name and surname have?

@Aga-C Thanks for your prompt reply on a weekend. I guess it is a bug then.

1. Yes.
2. Yes. I don't have this problem with Google phone as my dialer.
3. 8 chars 8 chars 4 chars.

I wonder how can I debug it further. I am using only Fossify phone app and not the contacts app if it makes any difference.

I've found out that it's related to display and system's font size. We're showing the full name in one line, and if it's too long, it's truncated.

Google Phone App uses a slider to overcome this issue.

Why do you truncate it? Leave it as it is

It's truncated due to lack of screen space.

It should be reworked using marquee effect or using multiple lines, whichever works better.
