This dataset contains experimental and numerical test cases for ablative thermal protection systems (TPS), developed under the ESA GSTP project "Ablative TPS Numerical Test Cases Mathematical Code Assessment & Improvement" (contract no. 4000122914/18/NL/KML). The work was performed at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics and includes material characterization, plasma wind tunnel testing, and numerical simulations for code validation.
