truncated_logfile.log not autogenerated

The docs/source/using_the_ve/truncated_logfile.log is not autogenerated/updated when the docs are built as discovered in #1187 . @davidorme 'made that change - I was trying to avoid automatically running the simulation during the docs build but it didn't seem to fix it. It might be that this file isn't being updated though.'

Yep that file is generated by a notebook virtual_ecosystem_in_use.ipynb that is set not to update when the docs build and hence doesn't autoupdate. #1269 added an up to date version of that file.

This file should be automatically updated by the same script that we can use to update the executed notebooks (virtual_ecosystem_in_static_mode.ipynb is the other notebook that is saved in an executed form).

I don't think if it makes sense to keep this issue. We need to remember to keep those notebooks updated, but I'm not convinced that an issue is the best way to do that?

I agree we should close this. I think at minimum we need to regenerate for releases, but not sure of the best way of remembering to do that.

@davidorme suggested a template (see #1279), which I think is a good approach. I'll close this issue and we can discuss on the template issue instead
