At the moment the plants do not remove any nutrients from the soil leading to them just accumulating there. A mechanism needs to be added to represent plant removal of nutrients. This doesn't need to be a scientific accurate mechanisms, more something that I can use for testing different scenarios for the soil model.
As a plant nutrient model is still a way off I guess the best way to do this is to just add simple uptake rates to the plant model (which can be filled in with a more complete model later) which draw nutrients from the relevant soil pools.
