The magic notebook doesnt show the plots for me :(

@behinger Haha you seemed to have discovered the magic 🪄 in the notebook! But apparently I didn't get the point across so well 🫣

so the idea is to create a notebook that has part that appear and disappear depending on the user's "needs" (for example whether they're a beginner or not) and the meta idea is to also show that you can show and hide even markdown not just code. We kept the space there on purpose to get the point across but ideally if you use this for teaching you would make that space go away.

So to see the hidden text you need to toggle the switch in the first the paragraph at the top of the notebook and then you should see the text appear.

But thank you for raising this point!! Maybe it makes sense to add the switch directly in the side comment so the idea we want to convey is clearer

thanks for the clarification. I think I tried putting on beginners mode, but nothing really showed up. I can now see, that the initial picker-widget is broken somehow; maybe this is where I was supposed to see something?

• I think this is a bug which threw me off
• I think the non-linearity (which way you are supposed to click) has not yet clicked with me
• Maybe what is bugged is an color-bar making the relation of color <-> imaginary number more clear

minor, maybe change **Your chosen point: ** to your chosen point and your function value? it was not directly obvious what you mean.

That being said, now that I had a second look with your hints in mind, I really see what you are trying to do, and I think it is really cool! It might be a bit confusing how it is possible to have f(x) with two numbers, not requiring f(x,y)?

It's really cool the longer I use it, you know me, I'm the impatient clicky-clacky person, not the thorough reader 🙈
