[Feature request] Share Instantly?

On the website a headline reads "Capture. Edit. Share Instantly."

Share Instantly...how do I do that?

As far as I can tell my capture is copied to my clipboard and I have the option to export it to a folder of my choosing. Am I missing other sharing options? I was hoping there might be an option to auto-publish to image sharing sites and have a shortlink copied to my clipboard. That would allow me to "Share Instantly." Kind of like how Loom advertises their screenshot tool at https://www.loom.com/screenshot "Every screenshot you take automatically creates a unique link you can send or embed on any channel. Instead of downloading the file, your recipient just has to click the link."

Thanks for raising this - you're right that the "Share Instantly" tagline (found in bettershot-landing/components/new-release-promo.tsx:29) currently overpromises what the app can do. The current sharing workflow is limited to:

1. Copy to clipboard (Cmd+Shift+C) - copies the edited image so you can paste it elsewhere
2. Export to file (Cmd+S) - saves to your chosen directory

There's no cloud upload or link generation functionality in the codebase. Looking at the Rust backend (src-tauri/src/lib.rs), the available commands are all local operations - capture, save, copy to clipboard. The editor component (src/components/ImageEditor.tsx) confirms only local copy/export options exist.

Implementing Loom-style instant link sharing would require:

• A backend service to host uploaded images (or integration with services like Imgur, CloudFlare R2, or a self-hosted option)
• New Tauri commands for upload handling
• UI for the upload flow and displaying/copying the generated link
• Potentially user authentication for private hosting options

This would be a significant addition but would definitely align the product with the marketing copy. It might make sense to either update the tagline to reflect current capabilities, or treat this as a roadmap feature.
