It's most likely totally irrelevant for contemporary OpenGL programmers, but for the sake of completeness I'm reporting that I'm seeing a discrepancy between
https://registry.khronos.org/OpenGL-Refpages/gl4/html/smoothstep.xhtml and https://registry.khronos.org/OpenGL/specs/gl/GLSLangSpec.1.10.pdf
In the former smoothstep is said to be supported starting from GLSL 1.30, while it's listed in the specification of GLSL 1.10.
