The 1.79.3 change we are pinning here fixes a server-side :path validation issue, but Chandler never starts a gRPC server—it only boots the Gin router and even registers itself with Quartermaster as Protocol: "http" (api_assets/cmd/chandler/main.go:54-57, api_assets/cmd/chandler/main.go:86-90). Modules that do expose gRPC servers, such as navigator (api_dns/cmd/navigator/main.go:200-205), are still pinned to google.golang.org/grpc v1.79.1 (api_dns/go.mod:11), so this security update does not actually remediate the vulnerable production binaries.
