📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Filled and expanded localization strings: added German entries for quick switcher, search, and recovery; extensive Japanese translations across UI, settings, shortcuts, and dialogs; added a new Portuguese locale file locales/pt.yaml with a full translation scaffold.

Changes

Cohort / File(s) Summary
German Localization
locales/de.yaml
Populated German strings for quick_switcher (placeholder, no_results, recent_tooltip, keyboard_hints), search (placeholder, keyboard_hints), and recovery (restore, start_fresh_tooltip). Minor line-wrapping/formatting only.
Japanese Localization
locales/ja.yaml
Large-scale additions and replacements: view modes, status bar, file dialogs/operations, go-to-line, settings panels, editor prefs, font/CJK options, minimap, folding/snippets, preview/files/appearance, keyboard shortcuts (many categories/commands), outlines, quick switcher, search, about, tree viewer, git, accessibility, recovery, notifications, and many tooltips. Numerous previously empty keys filled.
Portuguese Localization
locales/pt.yaml
New file added with comprehensive Portuguese translation structure covering app metadata, menus, dialogs, settings, panels, shortcuts, notifications, widgets, pipeline, workspace, and more — entries largely scaffolded/placeholder-filled for future localization.

Poem

🐰 With a hop and a nibble I type each line,
German leaves, Japanese pines, Portuguese brine.
Strings stitched like carrots in rows so neat,
My floppy ears twitch at every new beat.
Hooray — translations snug, cozy, and sweet!

⚠️ Outside diff range comments (2)
locales/de.yaml (2)

113-113: ⚠️ Potential issue | 🟡 Minor

Typos in German translation.

Line 113 contains two typos: "Treaditionelle" should be "Traditionelle" and "bervorzugen" should be "bevorzugen".

✏️ Suggested fix
- cjk_traditional_chinese_desc: "Treaditionelle Chinesische Schriftzeichen bervorzugen"
+ cjk_traditional_chinese_desc: "Traditionelle Chinesische Schriftzeichen bevorzugen"

154-154: ⚠️ Potential issue | 🟡 Minor

Typo in German translation.

"Programmcode-Böcke" should be "Programmcode-Blöcke" (missing "l").

✏️ Suggested fix
- fold_code_blocks: "Programmcode-Böcke"
+ fold_code_blocks: "Programmcode-Blöcke"
🧹 Nitpick comments (4)
locales/pt.yaml (1)

1-3: Header comment is incorrect for Portuguese locale.

The comment states "English (Base Language)" but this file is pt.yaml for Portuguese. Consider updating to reflect the actual language:

-# Ferrite - English (Base Language)
+# Ferrite - Portuguese (Português)
locales/de.yaml (1)

1-3: Header comment is incorrect for German locale.

Similar to pt.yaml, this file's comment states "English (Base Language)" but this is de.yaml for German.

locales/ja.yaml (2)

1-3: Header comment is incorrect for Japanese locale.

The comment states "English (Base Language)" but this file is ja.yaml for Japanese.

113-113: Minor inconsistency in CJK language label format.

The Japanese entry uses English first: "Japanese (日本語)", while other CJK entries use Japanese kanji first: "韓国語 (한국어)", "中国語 (簡体字) (简体中文)". Consider using "日本語 (Japanese)" for consistency, though the current format may be intentional for clarity to Japanese readers.
