New Consortium

I would like to upload under "IIASA-IAMC" as the institution ID.

It's a collaboration between IIASA and IAMC/IAMConsortium. IAMC does not have ROR yet. IAMC is a consortium itself that includes many institutions.
I see IAMC is already registered as a legacy CV (although, if I have that right, there is still missing information).

Any good example I should follow?

There's a bit happening. Good example is https://github.com/WCRP-CMIP/WCRP-universe/blob/esgvoc/consortium/solaris-heppa.json

Note, in that repo, we're working in the esgvoc branch, not main (for the foreseeable future)

You should be able to do a consortium that itself includes a consortium with the schema available, ping me if you need support from here

Ah nice, good pick up. The advice is wrong, fixing in PCMDI/input4MIPs_CVs#367
