Same here, space bar is not accepted in the input prompt if Qwen Code is updated/installed (latest version as of today) in the CLI inside a VSCode Terminal. I tried to reload the window but that did not resolve it.

When I open up a new Terminal (outside of VSCode) it works normally.

I found temporary solution, CTRL Shift P in VSCode then choose Developer: Reload Window then try prompt

Confirms this works. But it disables Qwen Code Companion extension.

• VSCode 1.109.5 更新说明中明确写道："Kitty keyboard support is now available to all users"
• VSCode 1.110（2026年2月）：进一步变化，通过设置 terminal.integrated.enableKittyKeyboardProtocol 默认启用

这就是为什么最近 1-2 周才出现问题——不是 Qwen Code 变了，而是 VSCode 的终端开始发送 CSI-u 编码序列了。

Bug 1：VSCode 1.110 不该对空格发 CSI-u（VSCode 的 bug）

VSCode 方面也确认了这是一个 bug：microsoft/vscode#299822

Kitty 协议规范的 "Disambiguate escape codes" 模式明确说："all key events that do not generate text" 才用 CSI-u 编码。空格会产生文本字符，按规范不应该被编码为 ESC[32u，但 VSCode 1.110 错误地把它编码了。

这个 VSCode issue 是 2026-03-06 报告的——和 Qwen Code #2101（2026-03-05）几乎同一时间。甚至另一个项目 opencode 也报了同样的问题（anomalyco/opencode#16100）。

Bug 2：Qwen Code 未处理可打印 CSI-u 按键（Qwen 的 bug）

即使 VSCode 不应该对空格发 CSI-u，Qwen Code 的 KeypressContext.tsx 中的 parseKittyPrefix 也确实没有处理可打印字符的 CSI-u 编码。这个遗漏自 2025年8月 Kitty 协议支持加入以来就存在，只是因为之前没有终端会对可打印字符发 CSI-u，所以一直没暴露。

当 parseKittyPrefix 无法解析 ESC[32u 时：

1. 返回 null，kittySequenceBuffer 保留了未解析的内容
2. 由于缓冲区非空，后续所有按键都被卷入累积逻辑，全部被静默吞掉
3. 直到缓冲区溢出（32 字节）才会清空——这就是"空格之后其他字符也无法输入"的原因
