Setting Custom API Endpoint In App has no Effect

Issue

At present, the current app build only seems to support authenticating to api.resgrid.com. Changing this setting seems to have no effect.

I could clone the repo and create a custom build with a custom API endpoint set at build time but this seems excessive. It would be pretty awesome if changing this setting in the app worked.

This issue is also known to be present on BigBoard and the Unit App. Seems anything where changing the API Url is required.

Reported via Email and acknowledged by Shawn Jackson on 21st September. Unfortunately no update yet, but hopefully we will see one soon. Would be very useful for upcoming events where this functionality would be much appreciated.

I've rewritten the applications in React Native, both the Unit and Responder app should have issues like this resolved (I've tested the scenario and so far so good). The new apps will be rolling out to the app stores in the next couple of weeks. If you have any problems please let me know so I can get them resolved.
