0.16.0-RC Stuck in "Indexing the score..."

I just updated from v0.15.2 to 0.16.0-RC and the app is stuck in "Indexing the score...".

I tried restarting but it doesn't help.

Is there a startup parameter to skip or clean caches or something similar?

Hello, can you tell us which platfrom you are on and get us a log from
%AppData%\Roaming\Maestro\logs on Windows or
~/.config/Maestro/logs on Unix-Systems?

It was stuck for about a minute and then it recovered.

Same for me. It seems to be an issue with SSH‑configured connected agents. Disabling the SSH connection in the configuration JSON immediately starts it.

I went back to 15.x, then used it again, I love this app!

Today I tried again going to 0.16.0-RC in the update dialog, but it installed 0.16.1-RC instead, I saw the message "Indexing the score..." went looking for the logs but ~/.config/Maestro/logs doesn't exist on the Mac and while looking for it the indexing the score what ever that means finished.

It takes about 10 seconds each launch so it might be worth looking at.

But I am back in the new version :D

Were you seeing it consistently longer on 0.16 than 0.16.1?

The SSH connectivity hint is definitely something for us to look at. I was having this problem as well, and now that I look back on it, it was probably because I was outside of my house and wasn't able to connect to one of my remote SSH agents. I'm digging into this now. I might have a potential fix.

0.16.2-RC broke something for me, after the update installation, after the start the first project that was open shows with this on the right:

Cannot access directory: /Volumes/.../ServerGradle6 Error invoking remote method 'fs:readDir': Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, scandir '/Volumes/.../ServerGradle6'

Switching workspaces fixes it eventually and it is like a 50 fifty chance on launch that the right panel shows loading or the error. If it shows loading it recovers.

The folder exists and was open before the update.

Maybe it is related to too large directories (419.330 files, 66.832 folders Size: 67.1 GB) and the operation now being asynchronous instead of blocking the ui.

We'll have to do a deeper dive on that one, we just released another set of loading block fixes to the RC which may help that aspect but I'll double check what could be causing that anyway. Thanks for the continued feedback it's been very helpful!
