Description
The spawning section of the hacks tab should be moved to a new tab, and the hacks tab should have a GameShark code section instead (I use mupen64-rr, so I can't use cheat codes). I also have some ideas for the spawning area, the debug tab, and the hacks tab:
D-Pad Spawn Config Editor
This would allow users to easily change what the D-pad buttons spawn when debug spawn is enabled. People could assign an object to each direction, and maybe even have them change when L is being held down. There could also be a preset feature that lets users easily change loadouts.
Built-In Preset Ideas
The preset feature could come with some presets. Here are some suggestions:
Default
Up = Nothing
Down = Water Shell
Left = Crazy Box
Right = Koopa Shell
Modified Default
Up = Bob-omb (or maybe Chuckya)
Down = Cork Box
Left = Crazy Box
Right = Koopa Shell
Caps
Up = Normal Cap
Down = Wing Cap
Left = Metal Cap
Right = Vanish Cap
Coins
Up = Nothing
Down = Coin
Left = Red Coin
Right = Blue Coin
Alt Mode with L Button Idea
There could be a feature that lets you set 2 different loadouts: one for when you're holding L, and one for when you're not holding L. There could also be some built-in alt mode presets.
GameShark Codes in Hacks Tab
The only emulator I can get to work properly with STROOP and my controller is mupen64-rr, which doesn't support cheat codes. STROOP should have support for GameShark codes, and maybe come with a list of codes (such as a code for seeing invisible objects).
Controller Button to Activate Free Movement
Right now, the Free Movement checkbox in the debug tab toggles free movement mode. It would be nice if I could activate free movement mode with controller buttons instead (e.g., press L to activate free movement). It could be activated with L or with a combination of Z and a D-pad button.
Instant Spawn Mode
The spawning tab could have an instant spawn feature that lets you spawn an object by selecting it in the list and clicking a "Spawn" button. It could also have a favourite objects section and an "Add to Favourites" button.
Press L to Grab Fake Object
When enabled, this feature would put a fake object in Mario's hands when you press L. You could use STROOP to specify the VS# you want (it would default to VS1).
