[BUG] Change handling of self-titled releases

Every single time, without fail, if a band has a self-titled release ("Band Name - Band Name") tubifarry seems to download any random album that has those words in it, which I am guessing is because the band name can be in the directory path as well

An option to either never search for self titled albums ("if %bandname% and %albumname% are the same, do not pass the search query on") or a better way of search for them (maybe append the year it was released, or search for the name of the first track, for example)

Okay, I have a few questions. Are you talking about the Tubifarry Indexer, Slskd, or YouTube? Could you provide examples, and if possible, screenshots? This seems more like a bug report than a feature request.

The important thing would be to get multiple examples to test with so I can understand what’s wrong. The more details you provide, the more I can do to address the issue.

If you’re referring to Slskd, screenshots of what a better search phrase would look like would also be helpful.

Sorry about that. I'm referring to Tubifarry grabbing things from slskd. I'm assuming tubifarry controls what's passed to slskd for a search query and decides what to download based on the result. The problem is the results will be incorrect with self titled queries passed to it.

Let's say you're trying to search for "Björk Björk." I get results for things like Björk - Homogenic, Björk - Post, Björk - Vespertine, etc. I believe Tubifarry is grabbing one of them but not necessarily looking for the correct one. When I would search manually for an album like this, I'd usually either search for 1) Björk [year of release] or 2) Björk [unique name of song on the album] and then download the whole folder. The issue gets worse the more common the word in question is.

Here's a current example stuck in my lidarr imports. I have this in my wanted albums:

I'm assuming tubifarry sent the query to slskd as "Dismantled Dismantled" and saw the result for the Mystras album and grabbed that instead

Thank you for your response! I'll see what I can do and aim to fix the issue by the end of next weekend. While Tubifarry does control the search, its role is limited to just that; it doesn’t determine what Lidarr selects. Other than this it would be more of a Lidarr-related issue.

But after testing your example, I believe the problem is clearly on my end. I’ll work on improving the search query to address it.

I appreciate you reporting this! However, I have one question: Are you using a self-built version of the proxy branch? You referencing Discogs releases instead of MusicBrainz releases, which are the standard for Lidarr. And I don't know a Discogs integration except for my proxy branch.

Oh I just linked discogs to show the release as I use the site more often when looking stuff up; I don't have anything on lidarr configured to use discogs
