Gallery view should switch to thumbs pane

Current behavior:

Opening the gallery view (OSD Ext, maybe others) doesn't switch the left panel to the thumbnails tab pane

Expected behavior:

AFAIK the only reason to open the gallery is to view more thumbnails, so it should auto switch.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to https://www.universalviewer.dev/
2. Change the left panel to the Index tab pane
3. Click the gallery button
4. The panel will open fully, but remain on Index.
