Trackpad scrolling does not work when running as a wayland client

As said in the title, when running gamescope under a wayland session which does not support XWayland or with --backend wayland, you cannot scroll with a trackpad, all other mouse actions which can be preformed with a trackpad seem to work fine (move, click (tap as well as buttons), click and drag, etc).

Running gamescope with --backend sdl under a wayland session which does not support XWayland works fine and allows scrolling with the trackpad.
