Integrated browser attempts to load Extension when RPC is disabled

From the Downloads tab on the game's details window, I've noticed that the buttons for Pixeldrain and Mega don't seem to work.

It seems like most of the rest of them are working.

I use Brave browser and I also switched over to Chrome to see if it made any difference.

It's not pixeldrain and mega, it's masked and non masked links. Masked links need to be converted to real links, and that page has a captcha. Other links also need to be converted due to internals of how the cache api works, but they redirect instantly without captcha. Looks like the integrated browser isn't liking the captcha. They work fine here, so either your antivirus deleted some files or you have something weird with your ram or your internet connection or dns or something else

Considering how slow everything seems to be in that recording, I'd imagine either your pc is getting quite old, or you are running out of ram, or the antivirus is hogging every single small activity that all apps do and interfering with it

It is definitely not that, this is a good PC with a good internet connection.

I tried it with the built-in browser and the results are basically the same, the window that opens is a bit bigger but still nothing happens for those sites. Interestingly, I can confirm that the unmasking works because if I use the middle click to get the unmasked URL, that's good.

If it was something with my internet or DNS wouldn't I also have a hard time clicking the real MEGA download button on the actual f95 site? I do not have any trouble.

I can download a fresh copy of the tool and see if there's a difference.

Is there anything in the log if you open the debug exe and trigger the issue?

Deleted the old directory and re-downloaded a new zip, didn't change anything.

Opened with Debug, and this is what dumped on the terminal window when I clicked a Mega link:

@gimpyestrada did you disable Extension > RPC enabled?

I have no knowledge of that checkbox, but it is presently unchecked.

And checking that box made both pixeldrain and mega links work.

the integrated browser has an equivalent of the f95checker browser extension, and it talks to the app instance via the rpc socket. the extension loads the current games in your library to show markers on the webpage for ones you have added, but it doesnt do so immediately when loading a page, so the non-masked links were being redirected before the extension tried to talk to the app. the masked links take longer due to the captcha, so it was trying to load the games in the library in the background and failing to do so. the toggle is enabled by default, but i imagine you had problems with it in the past and disabled it. but in hindsight, the integrated browser should have the extension disabled too when the setting is toggled off.

I assume the integrated browser is the first small window that pops up on a download and then it opens in my chosen browser? And I've never had the extension turned on.
