The first 3 wireframing resources are all pretty obviously unmaintained, but the Nova and especially VS Code snippets are being actively maintained, so I'd say we should reach out to the creators to let them know what we're thinking and see if they want to remain on the list. I personally think the 3 month rule is too harsh - I'd probably argue for making that either "compatible with the latest major version of govuk-frontend" on the benevolent end, or "within the last [x] feature versions" on the stricter end. |

There was a problem hiding this comment.
We've been chatting about comms for removing and finding an update for the Figma resource. We can continue to work that through in our team slack.
This looks good to me.
Change
Removes the user flow journeys and wireframe sections of the Resources and tools page.
These removals are because the resource is out of date. Part of this is aligning with our specific contribution criteria for resources and tools:
Another part of this is that most of these, especially the flow diagram ones, are using the old brand.
Notes
This means that there now aren't any 'design' resouces on the resources and tools page which is less than ideal. This is therefore a short term solution which can hopefully be remedied by either long term ideas for advertising resources whilst also communicating that said tools might not be completely up to date... or more robust design resources like a figma library.
A few resources in the tech section are borderline in terms of our criteria:
This PR has prompted some discussion in the team about our R&T criteria, notably that 3 months might be too harsh. Some initial thoughts are to make it more lenient by changing it to the most recent major version rather than the latest release. An idea in the same vein is to have an 'archive' section or page that allows us to keep resources that have become out of date but might still be useful for people. These aren't things for this PR but are worthwhile to think about.
