What's the use case for this? |

To open new file in already opened no-gui player like mpv or cvlc. The only option is either to close it and open again with new url (which could be tiresome, at least for me) or to use some form of IPC (hence playerctl). This would be one of the most useful features for me, because I can easily start/stop, seek, control volume, etc using hotkeys, but there's obviously no hotkey for "open new url" dialog in such players |

Oh ok that's pretty neat. I'm going to hold off on this though because I need to do a new release and I don't want to add any new features. |
