Describe the enhancement you want to request

Open WebUI is a popular self-hosted AI interface that exposes an OpenAI-compatible API. It would be useful to connect an Open WebUI instance to OpenCode and have models automatically discovered from the /api/models endpoint, rather than having to manually configure each model in opencode.json.

I'd be very interested in this one, too, since OpenWebUI seems to work fairly well with the derivative of Ollama that Hailo has created for their AI HAT+ 2.
I could not get OpenCode to communicate with that version of Ollama, but with a bit of workarounds with a custom provider I could get OpenWebUI to at least register and pass on messages from OpenCode. The response is not parsed correctly though, so the overall set-up doesn't work.

It works out of the box with "openai compatible" provider with openwebui v0.8.X version.

Just use the /api route.

What about if you use authentication with the Open WebUI keys / tokens option?

@huornlmj when you run opencode, you select the provider "openwebui" with /connect. Opencode ask you then the token from your openwebui account parameter.
