[BUG] In mass agent work, prompt is too long

What's Wrong?

I had 14 agents working simultaneously to identify and resolve issues in my project. However, after completing 6-7 tasks, the remaining agents started giving a "prompt is too long" error while tracking their task outputs. The process was halted, and I couldn't continue the conversation.

The issues I was having resolved weren't major problems.

What Should Happen?

When tasks are processing, at least when we tell them to continue, instead of using "too long," they should use "compact" and continue.

Claude Code is currently barely usable due to this bug.

This happened for me also in the last 2-3 days. As soon as I paste an image into a session with a high context I consistently get "prompt is too long" dead end for that session.

Looks like a session context overflow of some variety. The way "user" prompts are injected back in from the application side will get things stuck in this loop I suspect.

c6ec927f-c814-4ef3-bbdb-c7d855e80525 is a session that suffers this issue if you wish to examine it from the backend.
