[Bug] Remote Control unavailable for Claude Max subscriber despite eligibility

Bug Description
I'm a Claude Max subscriber but getting the following error when trying to use Remote Control:

"Error: Remote Control is not yet available on your plan."

My account details:

• Email: seungjaelim@kaist.ac.kr
• Login method: Claude Max Account
• Claude Code version: 2.1.59
• Model: claude-opus-4-6

Remote Control was announced on Feb 24, 2026 as available for Max users. I've already tried logging out and back in, but the issue persists.

Could you please check if my account has been enabled for Remote Control?

Bug: Remote Control not available on Claude Max despite eligibility
Description:
Running claude remote-control returns: "Error: Remote Control is not enabled for your account. Contact your administrator." — I'm on a personal Claude Max ($200/month) plan, not a Team or Enterprise account, so there is no administrator to contact.
Steps to reproduce:

Run claude remote-control in terminal
Error appears immediately

Expected: Session URL and QR code for remote access
Actual: Error: Remote Control is not enabled for your account
Environment:

Platform: Linux
Claude Code version: 2.1.61
Plan: Claude Max personal ($200/month)
Already tried: logout/login, updating to latest version

• Claude Code version: 2.1.62 (Windows), 2.1.39 → updated (WSL)
• Platform: Windows 11 (PowerShell) and WSL2
• Error message: Error: Remote Control is not yet available on your plan.

Tried logging out and back in — no change. Issue persists on both Windows and WSL.
