Preflight Checklist
What's Wrong?
Description:
I'm unable to use the Remote Control feature despite being on a Claude Max plan and properly authenticated via OAuth.
Error Message:
Error: Remote Control is not yet available on your plan.
Environment:
Claude Code version: 2.1.61
Platform: macOS (Darwin 25.2.0)
Location: Canada
Subscription: Claude Max
Authentication method: OAuth (confirmed oauthAccount present in ~/.claude.json)
Steps to Reproduce:
Run claude remote-control from terminal
Error appears immediately
Expected Behavior:
Should display session URL and QR code to enable remote access, as documented in the Remote Control feature description for Max users.
Additional Context:
Tried both claude remote-control and /remote-control slash command
Confirmed authenticated via OAuth with /login (not using API key)
Updated to latest CLI version (2.1.61)
Remote Control documentation states it's available for Max plan users (Pro coming soon)
Question:
Is there a regional rollout in progress, or does this require an account-level flag to be enabled? The feature is documented as available for Max users, but I'm unable to access it.
What Should Happen?
I should be able to access "Remote control" feature
