Thank you for bringing this to our attention! You're absolutely right that we need to support AL2023 for AWS Batch given the upcoming AL2 EOL in June 2026.

Good news: ECS_AL2023 support was already added in PR #30928 and is available in the CDK. However, you've correctly identified that we're missing the NVIDIA GPU variant ECS_AL2023_NVIDIA.

The fix would involve adding the missing enum value to EcsMachineImageType, following the same pattern as the existing ECS_AL2023 implementation. The validation logic for A1 instance incompatibility would also need to be extended to cover the NVIDIA variant.

@pahud thanks , i m aware of AL2 availability ,
So to me the missing part is ECS_AL2023_NVIDIA but also the on EKS machine images as well
